As part of the STEM education programme in our school, S.1 students were taught about the theory of flight and learnt how to make a wooden glider. Two gliders from each class were selected as the finalists in the competition. The competition, which took place in the covered playground, started at lunch time. Many S.1 students witnessed the event and cheered for their classmates. Prizes were awarded to gliders of the best artistic design and gliders for longest flying distance. The activities successfully combined knowledge and skills in science and technology. The competitors showed great creativity and the audience shared a very enjoyable afternoon.
