The “I Can Fly” Programme 2014, organized by Cathay Pacific, is a three-month programme that aims to enhance participants’ knowledge of the aviation industry and boost their personal development. In support of the “Bless Hong Kong” campaign launched by the Commission on Poverty, 500 less-advantaged young people in Hong Kong were given the chance to gain technical knowledge, along with leadership and organizational skills, and learn how to work as a team.
All the 5 nominees from our school were selected as members of the programme and they have already experienced flight operation and inflight services training from early May. On 25/5/2014, a Pledging Ceremony was held recognizing the determination of these young people. In the next three months, 100 outstanding members will be selected and offered once-in-a-lifetime experiences of an overseas trip to either the Flight Training Adelaide facility in Australia or the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France.
