40 S1-S2 students and 4 teachers participated in a 3-day exchange programme on 10-12 April 2019.
Students studied the geological landforms, history and ecological conservation of Danxia Mountain Geopark, a natural World Heritage Site, in Shaoguan.
The Danxia area is formed from reddish sandstone which has eroded over time into a series of outcrops surrounded by spectacular cliffs and many unusual rock formations. During the 3-day trip, a number of places were visited, including the scenic walks to Yangyuan Hill(陽元石) and JinJiang Scenic Area(錦江畫廊) . We also visited a temple located on the mountains and took a boat trip on the river winding through the mountains. Danxiashan World Geological Park Museum enriched our knowledge of the Danxia landform as well.
The students also visited Renhua Shuangfeng Village secondary school(仁化縣雙峰寨中學). The school arranged campus tour, sharing session and outdoor games for our students, through which the participants could learn more about the school life, education and culture of mainland.
