The Mathematics Department and Mathematics Society held a book exhibition from 20 to 22 of May 2019. The theme of the event was “Origami arouses the interest of Mathematical study”. Many students had hands-on practice of folding an origami crane. The crane was unfolded to give a crease pattern which demonstrates the properties of geometrical constructions. Books related to different origami of two and three dimensional figures were provided for students to further develop their interest of geometry learning. To help develop stronger motivation to read books about Mathematics, augmented reality technique was applied to students multimedia experience of listening to a short and lively reading report for two books: 《一線串通的初等數學》and《數學女孩秘密筆記(微分篇)》. The exhibition created an interactive and pleasurable
atmosphere to engage more students in reading.
