Micro:bit Model Rocket Car Competition is a 4-hour interactive STEAM learning and make-your-own session at the school. During the post-examination period, the event was organised to arouse students' interest in STEAM education. Teachers and tutors provided step-by-step guide to the making of rocket cars and explained the STEM concepts behind. Students worked in teams to practise the engineering cycle: design, create, test and optimise. Finally, each group built their rocket car powered by air pressure and competed for the fastest car. Students enjoyed the competition and could apply their knowledge of motions to solve real-life problems.
