The “Using Wiki to Enhance Student Collaborative Group Work and English Co-writing Workshop” was held on 16 April 2014. This event was supported by the Education Bureau, the Faculty of Education, HKU, the Hong Kong Teacher-Librarians’ Association and the International College of Management, Sydney. The event was a truly international event with presenters and participants from different countries and continents.
In this workshop, our Assistant Principal, Mr CHIN Yiu-ming first shared his opinions on the problems arisen in traditional teaching and learning practices while Ms WU Lai-wan and Ms WONG Fung-chi shared their experience in using PBworks in Liberal Studies through project-based learning. Ms WONG Sau-yee and Ms LEUNG Mei-lee also illustrated how students used PBworks to co-write an English story script in groups. Last but not least, Mr KAM Hon-kit highlighted in what way PBworks was incorporated in an extended Integrated Science / Geography discussion. All participants enjoyed the activities and had a fruitful afternoon.
