This gallery is named after the renowned Chinese artist, Professor Chao Shao-an. In addition to Professor Chao’s artworks, this gallery also features newspaper clippings, sketches, manuscripts, seals, photos and video documentaries by and about the artist. His studio has been re-created in a section of the gallery so that students can experience the mood and atmosphere in which the artist worked.
After appreciating Professor Chao Shao-an’s paintings, the instructor taught the students some basic techniques of Chinese painting, and guided them to create works by themselves.
Students enjoyed their time and were interested in the activities there and painted excellent artwork in the workshop.
