To promote a green culture among students and help raise funds for charity, the Community Youth Club and Environmental Education Team jointly launched the “Greening for the Chest” Charity Plant Sale. With Gardening Team members’ utmost attention and care in the previous two months, the seedlings of oxeye daisy, lemon mint and scarlet sage have grown into healthy young plants.
The plant-selling was held on 3rd and 23rd January 2019 in the school lobby during lunch time and after-school. Teachers and students actively participated in choosing their favorite pots and asking questions about horticulture. A sum of $960 was collected and donated to the Community Chest. It is anticipated that the small pots will grow into mature plants in the coming days.
