Interview by the RTHK Radio Programme “太陽底下新鮮事”

Being the 2nd Runner-up of the Joint School Science Exhibition (JSSE) and the 1st Runner-up of the Proposal Competition of JSSE, our students 6A CHENG Yinuo, 6A HU Sze-wai and 6D LEUNG Ko-yan were invited to a radio interview for the RTHK programme “太陽底下新鮮事”, which was recorded on 7 October 2023.

During the interview, our students shared their experiences in brainstorming, designing and building the model “VegeCallento”. Their product “VegeCallento” took the inspiration from vegetables and calligraphy.  The model consisted of an ink machine and a paper making machine using vegetables as the raw materials. Our students explained how they tackled the difficulties such as testing and improving the performance of the model. Our students talked about their vision that “VegeCallento” enables people to practise calligraphy with tools improvised in the household and how this would restore their disrupted rhythm of life. Finally, they hope that people with the help of “VegeCallento” could lead a more relaxed and environment-friendly lifestyle.
