The Chinese Dance Team showcased their exceptional talent at the 60th Schools Dance Festival – Chinese Dance (Secondary Section). The team's repertoire included two captivating dances: "Tongyan" 桐言 (Han ethnic group) and "Jixiang Gu" 吉祥鼓 (Tibetan ethnic group).
"Tongyan" 桐言showcased the grace and elegance of the Han ethnic group's traditional dance style. Our dancers flawlessly executed intricate movements, displaying their technical skill and artistry. The performance was a beautiful portrayal of the rich cultural heritage of the Han people.
In contrast, "Jixiang Gu" 吉祥鼓 offered a vibrant and energetic display of the traditional dance style of the Tibetan ethnic group. The dancers' lively footwork and synchronized movements created an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
The team earned the prestigious Honours Awards in the Trio and Group Dance Section respectively. These outstanding achievements were a result of their perseverance, hard work, and exceptional teamwork. Their dedication to countless hours of practice and their unwavering support for one another truly paid off.
