Visit to King’s Park Meteorological Station

The Physics Department organized a visit to King’s Park Meteorological Station on the afternoon of 11 March 2024. The Scientific Officer of the Hong Kong Observatory first led the S4 Physics students to know more about nuclear security and the principles of nuclear radiation monitoring equipment. Then, the students had a chance to observe the meteorological instruments including the anemometer and rain gauges. Students found the experience fruitful as they understood more about the application of physics in daily life.
