TWGSS Elder Academy Visiting – Hong Kong Palace Museum

The "TWGSS Elder Academy" arranged for elderly individuals from The Yan Chai Hospital Fong Yock Yee Neighbourhood Elderly Centre to be paired with students for a visit to YUAN MING YUAN – Art and Culture of an Imperial Garden Palace in the Hong Kong Palace Museum. The exhibition highlights the life and aesthetic tastes of the emperors, festivals, and the relationship between members of the imperial family. In this exhibition, the students and the elderly discovered the crowning achievements of imperial garden-palace design, the stories about the garden’s principal residents, and the history of the Qing imperial court. During this visit, our students have greatly benefited by experiencing serving and showing empathy for the elderly.
