The 51st Annual Swimming Gala of Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School was successfully held on 10 October 2024 at Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool. This event showcased the exceptional talent and teamwork of our students, reinforcing our school’s commitment to sports and community spirit.
The opening ceremony was led by core members from the Sports Association, Red Cross, Scouts, and houses’ athlete representatives. LAM Ting-hei (6A) and WAN Yuen-yung, Tina (5B) presented the athlete’s pledge.
Students demonstrated excellent swimming skills and teamwork throughout the event, actively participating in all competitions and securing honours for their houses. Pine House emerged as the overall champion, while Plum House won the best cheering team award for their enthusiastic support.

Girls’ B Grade: CHOW TSZ WAI (3C-3), WONG SUM YU (4A-23)
Girls’ C Grade: WONG YU CHING JOCELYN (2D-14), WU CHLOE (1B-18)
Numerous parents volunteered as judges, timekeepers and assistants, contributing to the event’s seamless operation. We express our heartfelt gratitude to these dedicated parent volunteers.
The sunny weather and well-equipped venue facilitated the smooth running of all competitions. Despite fierce competition, students maintained good sportsmanship and exhibited excellent athletic spirit throughout.
Ms. ANG Wai-ling, an alumna from the Class of 1999, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. In her inspiring address, she emphasized the importance of physical exercise, pursuing hobbies, and engaging in activities that contribute to overall personal development. Her words resonated with the students, highlighting the enduring impact of a well-rounded education at Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School.
