The 59th Annual Speech Day was held on 16 November 2024, marking an auspicious occasion. The programme commenced with the Principal’s Report, during which she praised the various achievements and successes of the students. The Guest of Honour, Mr. POON Ho-lun, Allen, an alumnus and architect, congratulated all graduates and prize recipients on their accomplishments during the 2023-2024 academic year. Awards and scholarships were presented to students from S1 to S6 in recognition of their achievements.
In his address, Mr. POON reflected on the shared memories and experiences at TWGSS that have shaped his career. He encouraged students to realize their potential, assuring the audience that the lessons learned at TWGSS provide a strong foundation for future endeavors.
The Speech Day concluded with student performances showcasing their talents in the Chinese Ensemble, String Ensemble, Chinese Dance, Putonghua Solo Verse Speaking, and the School Choir. To cap off the occasion, photographs were taken of the Officiating Party, Parents-Teachers’ Association Committee members, Alumni Association Committee members, as well as the Principals and Assistant Principals from other schools, alongside the TWGSS teaching staff, in the covered playground after the ceremony.
