S3 Community Service – Visiting Street Cleaners

S3 students participated in the “JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER” Project organized and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The project aimed to help students understand social issues, comprehend the needs of different groups of people, encourage students to serve the community, and nurture future leaders in social services.

 

Some S3 students engaged in volunteer services, visiting street cleaners to understand the difficulties they faced at work and interacting with them. At the end, students expressed their gratitude to the cleaners by handing out small gifts to them.

 

Through this experience, students came to understand the importance of caring for and assisting those in need in our society. They also discovered their own potential to make a positive impact in the community. By performing simple acts of kindness in their daily lives, they realized that they could bring happiness to others and themselves.
