Amid ongoing concerns about young people’s mental health and well-being, the ability to cope with setbacks, adapt, and then move forward in a productive way is key to having positive well-being and achieving future success. A Setback Education Workshop was organized for our S4 students in January 2025. During the workshop, students engaged in teamwork games and individual missions to enhance their understanding of the difference between ‘setback’ and ‘failure’, the significance of growth mindset and how setbacks should be seen as opportunities for learning and growth. Students were given chances to reflect on their thoughts and feelings when facing challenges. All in all, students gave very positive feedback about the workshop. The majority of the students agreed that the workshop was inspirational and reminded them that one's capabilities are not inherent and can be strengthened by hard work and experience.
