This year, we collected a total of 56 boxes, with 1A students contributing an impressive of 25! Additionally, the metal cans and paper boxes were recycled at GREEN@COMMUNITY, resulting in a total mass of 16.7 kg—about the weight of 2 packs of rice from the supermarket.
While this recycling initiative was a great success, we encourage everyone to consider simpler packaging options for moon cakes in the future.
We also noticed that some plastic packages were not removed from the boxes. These plastic containers can be fairly useful for seed germination during our gardening activities, thereby showcasing how we can creatively reduce waste in our lives.
If you still have moon cake packages, please recycle them in the designated bins or at local recycling centers. The following link shows the map of recycling points.
