All S1 students took part in an educational visit to the Hong Kong Science Museum. The trip provided them with opportunities to learn science beyond the classroom through direct observation and exploration.
During the visit, students were arranged into several groups to explore either the Biodiversity Exhibition Hall or the Geological Sciences Division. By examining the exhibits and completing topic-based worksheets, students were encouraged to learn independently and engage actively with the scientific concepts presented.
The activity successfully strengthened students’ independent learning skills, as well as their observation and problem-solving abilities as a whole. The museum visit enriched students’ scientific knowledge and fostered a greater interest in science in an authentic learning environment
