Our English Debating Team recently participated in a friendly debate contest organized by the Hong Kong Schools English Debating League with Holy Trinity College.
The motion for the debate was: “This House opposes the ‘Body Positivity’ movement.” Our team took the proposition side in this thought-provoking motion.
Facing a strong opposition team and benefitting from the insights of an experienced adjudicator, our debaters not only demonstrated their critical thinking and public speaking skills, but also gained valuable feedback through the meaningful academic exchange.
We are proud to share that our team emerged victorious in this friendly contest. It offered an excellent opportunity for growth, learning, and collaboration.
We look forward to participating in more friendly debates in the near future!
