義工服務 — 探訪長者院舍

With a view to cultivating students’ empathy and spirits of community services a visit to the elderly home (Tsuen Wan Elderly Centre) was held on 16 May 2026, co-organised by the Chinese Christian Youth Association of Hong Kong and our school’s Student Whole Person Development Team, with twenty S1 student participants. Following the service-learning workshop in April, students demonstrated an active engagement during the visit, with a clear focus on learning how to care for the needy within the community. Students were closely accompanied and mentored by social workers and a teacher throughout the event. Students also had casual conversations with the tenants and gifted them some daily essentials as a gesture of goodwill. During the de-briefing session, a survey was conducted. It indicated a 95% agreement that the activity was beneficial for both the community and students’ personal development. Students were inspired in this incredible campaign.
