On 3 September 2023, an official ceremony to commemorate the Victory Day of Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was held by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSARG) at the Hong Kong City Hall Memorial Garden. Our school had a significant presence at this event, thanks to the efforts of our School Choir, which consisted of representatives from the junior form students, as well as Students’ Association and Prefect Board representatives.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, along with senior government officials. It consisted of several solemn and patriotic activities. The event commenced with the playing and singing of the national anthem, in which our School Choir participated. This was followed by the flag raising, a Rifle Volley executed by the Police Rifle Squad, the observation of silence in mourning and bowing in tribute by all attendees.
By arranging the School Choir to sing the national anthem, our school contributed to the commemoration ceremony, highlighting our commitment to promoting unity and patriotic values.
