Peer Counsellors Team building and Leadership training course cum AGM

The Counselling Team organized the abseiling course and team building workshop for peer counsellors on 9 July. In the morning session, 55 current and upcoming peer counsellors joined the abseiling course, which aimed at developing students’ leadership and communication skills, as well as promoting team spirit. They were geared with the safety equipment and abseiled from the second floor of the school down to the ground floor. Besides, they learnt to help the lower-form students with stronger awareness of the key characteristics in goal setting.

In the afternoon, 45 upcoming peer counsellors participated in a series of competitive tasks led by social workers. It aimed at developing their team spirit and communication skills and preparing them to face challenges ahead in the coming year. Through these activities, the peer counsellors learnt to be competent. They also acquired the skills to foster better relationships with their peers and be confident to take up tasks.
