On 8 November 2024, Ms MAN Nga-chi, an alumna of the Class of 1998, was the guest speaker for the Road to Success – Alumni Talk Series. Ms MAN previously held the position of Assistant Project Manager at Gammon Construction, where she became the first female project manager in the company’s building division. Currently, she works as a Project Manager at Forerunner Specialist Limited.
During the talk, Ms MAN shared insights into her professional journey and personal life, highlighting key aspects relevant to students. She discussed her duties as a Project Manager, giving students a glimpse into the responsibilities and challenges of managing large-scale projects. She emphasized the importance of belief and attitude in overcoming obstacles in both academic and professional settings. Ms MAN also touched on the generic skills she developed through her studies and work, which she believes are crucial for students to cultivate for their future careers. Additionally, she spoke about the balanced use of technology and encouraged students to be mindful of its role in their lives.
